Want to start some adventure with your friends? Here are some of the tips from Road Dawg!
Agree on budgets
First things first! When traveling with your friends you must first decide on your budget. We on Road Dawg decided to have P500 each but it is just a guide for you, you can decide to make it lower or higher depending on your friends. The more you lower
your budget the bigger challenge you have. The bigger challenge you have the more
exciting it is. Just remember that everyone in your squad should agree and the ideal situation is, like us in Road Dawg, everyone has similar financial situations and preferences. If one person wants to enjoy to travel with bus or jeeps, while the other prefers to travel more modestly, have that conversation during the planning phase.
Compromise, Consider everyone’s wants
Plan everything first. How much time you’re spending there. How much are you going to spend in that particular place. It is
important to plan and discuss with your squad since you only have limited budget, consider each ideas and opinions and learn to compromise as much as possible. If you can atleast, then agree on what you’ll do during the trip. It might even be helpful to write down their goals for the trip to set clear expectations.
Limit your phone
Travel with friends is a great gift. A wonderful trip can bring you closer with shared experiences and memories. Make the most of being together by limiting your time on social media, emails and texts if it is not really important. Phones are to be kept unless necessary, remember that you travel to enjoy the place with your squad, don't waste time on unnecessary things like browsing your social media accounts, you can do it some other time. Sieze the moment with your friends, make the best out of it.
Go with the flow
When you travel with friends, bring along your patience and flexibility. You won’t get to see or do everything on you list. Some days you may chip in more than your share for dinner, or be kept waiting a few extra minutes. Know that you’ll have to compromise and make your peace with it. There are many things You need to
plan and consider first in going to a trip and have an adventure with your squad, the bottom line here is you just have to do some advance planning, flexibility and clear communication is a key to a much better experience when traveling with friends.
